$1,000,000.00 Charity Golf Tournament

On Saturday, October 22, 2016,  Retirement by Design is hosting its second 2016 charity golf tournament at Del Tura Golf & Country Club in North Fort Myers. A raffle for chance to a $1,000,000.00 hole-in-one shot and ten $25,000.00 shots will benefit two organizations in Lee County, the North Fort Myers Academy of the Arts Foundation and the Stephen Bufton Memorial Education Fund.

Tee-off for the 18-Hole Scramble is at 8 a.m. for the registered 18 four-person teams on a course set up for executive play. While dozens of golf tournaments are held in Lee County each year, the format of this event is truly unique. The tournament is a free event for the players who have decided to come and play a round of golf for charity. However, an extensive raffle prize list includes Miracle baseball box tickets, Laboratory Theater season tickets, and many other sponsored items.

Every player will have chances to win hole-in-one prizes throughout the day. As the highlight of the event, one lucky player will be drawn to shoot for $1,000,000.00 and ten players get a chance to win $25,000.00 in prize money.

The golf tournament is sponsored by Retirement by Design as part of their campaign to raise funds for the support of educational arts programs in Southwest Florida. “We created this event to raise awareness for the future of the arts in Lee County. What better way than letting the players have fun while supporting this important cause,” said Retirement by Design Founder and President Robert E. Grace.
